Dr Amanda Stevens is a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) & Clinical Nutritionist (MS) whose practice focuses entirely on pediatric & perinatal care.
"The potential possibilities of any child are the most intriguing and stimulating in all creation."
- Ray L. Wilbur
Dr Amanda Stevens is a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) whose practice focuses entirely on pediatric and perinatal health. That means she sees nothing but infants, children, moms-to-be (pregnant women), and moms-who-recently-become-moms (postnatal). She has completed extensive training in musculoskeletal and holistic paediatric care. Included in the immeasurable number of hours that Dr Amanda has committed to both structured education and self-study, she is a CACCP certified pediatric practitioner through the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice and has completed all of the requirements for the DACCP (which is the next level of an international paediatric designation). Dr Amanda has also earned a Masters of Science in Applied Clinical Nutrition during which her focus was on paediatric neurodevelopmental disorders (think gut-brain chemistry connections). Her therapeutic approach is a blend of chiropractic care, clinical nutrition, soft tissue treatments, craniosacral therapy (CST), exercise rehab (often DNS-based), sensorimotor integration, and kinesiology taping. She works along the full continuum of the paediatric journey, from pregnancy care and postnatal recovery to developmental, wellness, and problem-solving MSK care for infants and children.
In case you have not figure it out yet, Dr Amanda Stevens is a bit of dork. She is often participating in active research in chiropractic care for pregnant and paediatric populations. From practice-based research networks and safety studies to practice guideline initiatives and case studies, she is committed to elevating the standard of NMSK care for children and women in her own practice and for her profession. As of 2020, Dr Amanda will also be branching out to help others step up their game in paediatric practice through teaching. If you are a professional who would like to learn from her directly, please check out the Pediatric Science course offered through Somatic Senses.

Dr Amanda Stevens - Chiropractor for Kids & Moms
On the personal side
Originally from New Brunswick, Dr Amanda and her adventure-prone husband (Dr Benjamin Stevens) have traveled extensively and lived in England, California, Calgary, and the lower mainland before settling in Kelowna. They have one incredible child named Sequoia.
When not dedicating her time to elevating patient care and learning, she can be found with exploring with her family. As an avid snowboarder and trail runner, she spends most of her personal time out of doors. She also enjoys surfing, SUPing, hiking, yoga, camping, traveling, reading (for fun), and all things mountains, trees, and elephants.
Dr Amanda limits her practice hours and clientele. She is only accepting new patients who fall under paediatric and perinatal/maternity umbrella. If your are in those categories but her hours are not working for you, please consider Dr Anna Marie, our other fabulous AltaVie chiropractor. If you do not fall under any of those categories, please consider checking out Kinetic Evolution or Valeo Health Clinic, or give us a call so we can recommend someone in town who will be a better fit for you.
